National Funeral Director & Mortician Recognition Day


March 11th is National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day. It is a day set aside by Congress in 2008, “to pay tribute to funeral directors and morticians who, day in and day out, assist our Nation’s families in their times of sadness and grief and help families mourn a death and celebrate a life.”

Grand Opening of the new State of the Art Preparation Room

Mid-America College of Funeral Service will be hosting a reunion of all alumni of  Mid-America College of Funeral Service and it’s two predecessors, the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science and the Indiana College of Mortuary Science beginning at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 2nd  and concluding at 5:00 p.m. local time. The Grand Opening of the new State of the Art Preparation Room will be at 3:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Alumni in attendance will receive a t-shirt and coffee mug.
