Walnut Street is in the heart of Old Louisville on the corner of Third Street and St. Catherine

DIRECTIONS TO WALNUT STREET BAPTIST CHURCH FOR GRADUATION SERVICES AND BACK TO MID-AMERICA COLLEGE FOR THE GRADUATE RECEPTION

From I-65, whether traveling North or South, take the St. Catherine Street Exit. St. Catherine Street is a ONE WAY WESTBOUND STREET. Walnut Street Baptist Church is located between Second and Third Streets. After you cross Second Street, on the left side of St. Catherine Street you will see the church activities building and administration building; then there will be an alley and on the other side of the alley is the Church. From the parking lot you may enter the church from the alley and go into the Church Welcome Center. You may prefer to walk through the parking lot to Third Street and enter the Church through the main entrance. GRADUATES ARE TO REPORT TO THE CHURCH CHAPEL BY NO LATER THEN 9:00 A.M. USHERS ARE TO REPORT AT 8:30 A.M.

Family and friends of the graduates may want to enter the Sanctuary of the Church around 9:30 a.m. in order to find the best seats. A certain area will be reserved for the graduates. The graduation will last approximately 1 hour.

After graduation exercises are over, the College will hold a reception in honor of the graduates, immediately following the graduation ceremony. To get back to the college from Walnut Street Baptist Church, get on Third Street, which is a ONE WAY SOUTHBOUND STREET. Go ½ block and turn left onto Oak Street. Oak Street is a ONE WAY EASTBOUND STREET. Stay on Oak Street until you come to the intersection of Oak Street and Floyd Street. Go left onto Floyd Street for 1 block and you will see the ramp to I-65 North. Get on the I-65 at this ramp, go across the Kennedy Bridge into Indiana. Take the Eastern Blvd. exit. At the top of the exit ramp turn right onto Eastern Blvd. At the stop light at the end of Eastern Blvd., turn left onto Spring Street. Continue on Spring Street and it changes in name to Hamburg Pike. You are about 1 mile from the college when you see Walnut Ridge Nursery on the right side of the road. The college is on the left side of the road:

3111 HAMBURG PIKE. A Church of Christ is in a beige building across the street from the college. Should you need to call us, our telephone number is 288-8878. If you are roaming on a cell phone our area code is 812.

For your convenience we have blocked a section of rooms the night before graduation. We have priced other lodging in the area, and we consider this facility is best suited for the occasion. Single and double rooms are available for the rate of $68.20 a night (this includes your sales tax). Just call the front desk and ask for the Mid-America College reservation. If you have any problem, mention our contact, Becky Fulkerson. Rooms are available on a first come basis. It is very easy to get from the Holiday Inn - Lakeview to 300 Spring. We have included a map for you.
