Recognition and Awards
Banquet
On September 7,
2006 Mid-America College of Funeral Service
hosted its 15th Annual Banquet at 300 Spring in
downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana, with faculty
member Gary D. Bridgewater acting as Master of
Ceremonies.
Digital Cameras,
MP3 players, Sirius Satellite Radios, Portable
DVD players and many other door prizes were
available for the students of Mid-America
College of Funeral Service with the evening
capped by Senior Winston Grannis winning the
grand price of a Wide-screen Compaq laptop
computer.
The Lambda-Kappa Chapter of Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity had several award presentations which were handled by Fraternity Advisor J. Michael O'Bryan.
Patrick Kyle O'Bryan was recipient of the Best Pledge Paddle and Best Pledge Award he is shown with J. Michael O'Bryan, Fraternity Advisor in both photos. (Yes, if you can't tell by the resemblance, they are brothers!)
Brentley Esters, Jeff Moudy and Thad Love were winners of the pledge scavenger hunt that was held on the last day of Fraternity Rush. (Anthony Brown was also on the winning scavenger hunt team, but he was unavailable for the photo) Graduate Bev Stevenson was recipient of both the Outstanding Service Award and the Academic Award of the Lambda-Kappa Chapter of Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity.

Mr. Gary
D. Bridgewater was presented with a
certificate of appreciation by his fellow
brothers and sisters of Pi Sigma Eta. This
certificate explained that for twenty seven
years as faculty advisor, Mr. Bridgewater
faithfully put all of his time and effort in
seeing that the Lambda-Kappa Chapter was ran
in a way which a fraternal society should
be. Mr. Bridgewater received the much do
applause and standing ovation of the
audience for his dedication and service to
the fraternity.

On the left of the quilt displays the fraternal meanings of Pi Sigma Eta and on the right, displays the senior member names. Michael O'Bryan with a gift as a token of their appreciation for advisory leadership to the Fraternity. |  Mid-America College of Funeral Service President, John R. Braboy presented a special "Silver Anniversary" mug to each of the graduates. | | | |  |  | | Ms. Nancy Barber and Mr. John Firestone were given Mid-America College customized tapestries by the faculty and staff in appreciation of all they do for Mid-America College faculty, staff and students. Ms. Barber is Vice Chairperson of the Board of Pierce Companies, President of Pierce Mortuary Colleges and Vice Chairperosn of Mid-America College Board of Trustees. Mr. Firestone is Chairman of the Board of Pierce Companies and Pierce Mortuary Colleges and Chairman of the Mid-America College Board of Trustees. | | | |  Mid-America College of Funeral Service recently established the Mid-America College of Funeral Service Alumni Association. President Chad Qualkenbush and Secretary/Treasurer Michael Johnson both attended the banquet.
