Graduate Recognition & Awards Banquet: March 2007

On March 15, 2007 Mid-America College of Funeral Service hosted its 16th Annual Awards and Graduate Recognition Banquet at 300 Spring in downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana, with faculty member Gary D. Bridgewater acting as Master of Ceremonies.
     

I-Pods with Docks, MP3 players, Portable DVD players and many other door prizes were available for the students of Mid-America College of Funeral Service with the evening capped by Senior Kiel Barkdull winning the grand price of a Compaq Presario PC with Windows Vista Home Basic, DVD burner and 120 GB hard drive.

The Lambda-Kappa Chapter also had many awards and surprise Senior gifts. The men received a custom made tie of fraternity colors, engraved cuff links and ink pen with the Fraternity Greeks on them. The ladies received an engraved pen and business card holder, both engraved with the Fraternity Greeks as well as a custom fraternity quilt.

Ryan Haehl, Brentley Esters, Blaine Hartzler and Tom Patton served as ushers, escorting graduates, relatives and friends to their tables.

D.J. Phillips and Jeff Tinsley
served as greeters.

Danielle Jeffries, D.J. Phillips and Rebecca Dike received the Scavenger Hunt Award during the Winter 2007 Rush.
     

Ryan Haehl received the Best Paddle Award for the paddle he made for his Big Brother Kyle O'Bryan.

Graduate Jason D. Johnston received the Academic Award for having the overall highest scholastic average during his duration of active membership in the fraternity while at Mid-America.

Graduate Shannon Morrison received the Outstanding Service Award for going above and beyond the normal active membership while in the fraternity at Mid-America. What makes this award so special is that it is voted upon by her peers.
     
     
     
     
     
     
     

 

     
     
     

Spring Open House: February 2007

Twice a year the faculty and staff of Mid-America College of Funeral Service host an Open House on a Saturday so prospective students, family and friends may come to their campus to take a tour of their facilities as well as talk to faculty, staff, students to prepare for their enrollment in classes. Future open house dates are August 11, 2007, March 9, 2008 and August 9, 2008 . Open House is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. General information assembly is at 11:00 a.m.
     

President John R. Braboy and Registrar and Director of Admissions Cathy Denison are available to offer advice and assistance on any of your enrollment questions.

Faculty, Fraternity Members, Class officers and student Volunteers, who graciously gave up a Saturday morning and afternoon to give prospective students and their friends and relatives a tour of the college campus.

Dean of Students Richard D. Nelson, Financial Aid Officer of Mid-America  College of Funeral Service explains the necessary requirements for obtaining financial aid while attending Mid-America College of Funeral Service.
