Installation of Class and PI SIGMA ETA Officers

On  Monday, February 20, Mid-America College of Funeral Service the the Lambda-Kappa Chaper of Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity held their semi-annual  Installation Ceremony. Fraternity  Officers were:  Master Artist Bev Stevenson,  Senior Artist Tim Dickson, Junior Artist  Renae Spitznagle, Worthy Scribe Becca Cazee, Croesus Sarah Yates, Chaplain Jason Johnston. Tyler Nikki Lee was not present for the ceremony.

Also initiated were class officers of the General Education Division of Mid-America College who enrolled in September of 2005 and will graduate in March of 2007.  Class President Jason Johnston, Vice President Kiel Barkdull, Treasurer Shannon Morrison and Secretary Jen Cooper.  Mr. Dennis Bogard is class sponsor.  Chaplain Joe Grimm was not present for the ceremony.  Those members of the March 2005 class of the Funeral Service Division of Mid-America College who will graduate in September of 2006 that were installed include President William Hill, Vice President Cody Phillips, Treasurer Gena Thomas, Chaplain Matt Tolbert and At-large Members Gina M. Dolen

Fall 2006 Open House - August 12

Twice a year the faculty and staff of Mid-America College of Funeral Service host an Open House on a Saturday so prospective students, family and friends may come to their campus to take a tour of their facilities as well as talk to faculty, staff, students to prepare for their enrollment in classes. Future open house dates are February 10, 2007 and August 11, 2007. Open House is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. General information assembly is at 11:00 a.m.

Faculty, Fraternity Members, Class officers and student Volunteers, who graciously gave up a Saturday morning and afternoon to give prospective students and their friends and relatives a tour of the college campus.

Fraternity Rush Finale (Bridgewater's Backyard Bash Fall 2006)

This year the new initiates of the Lambda-Kappa Chapter were cordially invited to attend the inaugural Bridgewater Backyard Bash. Supreme Senior Artist's Gary Bridgewater's house was the site of the festivities for all active fraternity members to attend. Of course food and drink was served as well as a host of games and other activities. At the end of the night it was estimated that over 40 were in attendance.

     
     
     
     
     
 
     

Fall 2006 Breakfast and Comprehensive Exams

The Fall 2005 class, which graduates on March 16, 2007 prepared the traditional "Breakfast Before Comps" for the Fall 2004 Class, which graduates on March 10, 2006. Scrambled eggs, sausage, chocolate chip pancakes, biscuits and sausage gravy, cinnamon rolls, donuts, milk, orange juice and coffee were served to the graduating class on the first day of comprehensive examination. It was a sure thing that no one left hungry. A big "Thank You" from the graduating class for all the time and effort put forth by the Fall 2005 class.

    Mid-America College President John R. Braboy recognized 3 very important people in the life of Mid-America College of Funeral Service for their dedicated service to the success of the institution and presented them with a small token of the faculty and staff's appreciation at the graduation banquet.

The Lambda-Kappa Chapter of Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity were presented with graduating gifts of an Afghan and a fraternity sweatshirt that is being held by graduate Sandi Trusty of Huntingburg, IN
