I find the writing of this first letter in our newsletter to be very exciting. I want to thank those that chose me to head our newly founded Alumni Association. I look forward to the exciting things we have in the works for our members.
For those of you who have not yet joined I hope to soon see your name on our roster. There has been an amazing response this first year. We hope to be able to start funding scholarships this coming year and have many things planned. As funeral service continues to change we want to keep you informed and up to date on the industry changes. We hope that through our network of members we can help reconnect some old relationships that started in mortuary school.
We plan to have a membership directory available soon. We are planning two big events this year. We will be hosting a reception at both the Indiana and Kentucky Conventions. The Indiana Convention is being hosted by Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Homes at their new Floral Park Chapel and The Kentucky Convention will be held at the Hyatt in Louisville with more details to follow. I look forward to meeting and seeing each one of you at the conventions.
